Scripture Galatians 6:1-3

Paul was speaking to the church. He said that if a man was overtaken in a fault, the ones who were spiritual were to restore him in the spirit of meekness. He also said that they were to watch themselves because they too might be tempted. There are so many times when we hear of someone slipping in their Christian walk. A lot of times, other Christians become both judge and jury.

It is not our place to judge when a brother or sister falls from God. We should do as Paul said. We should help to restore them and not forget that the same thing could happen to us if we are not careful. The last thing someone needs to hear when they have fallen, is condemnation. Instead, they need to be reassured of God's love, His care and His power to restore them.

Verse 2 says that we are to bear one another's burdens. When we see a brother or sister who are hurting, we should help them anyway we can. We need to pray on their behalf. This world would be a better place to live in if we fulfilled what the Apostle Paul said. If instead of kicking our brother or sister when they are down, we help them. We never know when we will need someone's help through a difficult situation in our own lives. May we always be willing to help any brother or sister who has fallen.

When someone slips and falls
Their name you must not smudge.
For someday you may do the same
Let God alone be judge.
