Scripture Matthew 8:28-34

Verse 34 says, "And when they saw Him, they besought Him that He would depart out of their coasts." Jesus was asked to leave. He had just cast a legion of devils out of two men and delivered them from demon possession. What thanks did he receive from the town? None whatsoever. They failed to look at the miracle that had taken place. The fear that filled their hearts was greater than their thankfulness. If only they had realized who it was they asked to leave. They didn't recognize Jesus for who He was. It is kind of ironic when you look at it because even the demons knew who He was. They called Him Jesus, the Son of God.

Jesus never stays where He is not wanted. When He left that town, with Him went any chance they had of seeing the glory of God manifested. Jesus will not push Himself on anyone. Satan is a pusher and a user, not Jesus. He will wait until we are ready to invite Him into our lives.

What have you done with Jesus? Have you asked Him to leave you alone? Have you kept Him waiting, knocking on your hearts door? Maybe you've already asked Jesus into your life but lately you haven't had time for Him. Whatever your condition may be, bow your head right now, right where you are. Ask Him to forgive you, and from this day forward, live for Him.

Oh blessed Lamb of Calvary
Come save my soul and set me free
From this day on, to me you'll be
God's blessed Lamb of Calvary
