Scripture Luke 19:10

Jesus was passing through a place called Jericho. There was a man living there who was very rich. His name was Zachaeus. When Jesus passed by, he longed to see him, but he was so short that he couldn't see over the crowd. His desire to see Jesus was so strong, that he did the only thing he could think of, he climbed a tree. Zachaeus, in his wildest dreams could not have imagined what was about to happen. Jesus came to the tree and told him to get down because He was going to stay at his house.

There were many moral living people there who I'm sure felt that Jesus should go to their house. They probably felt that they were better than Zachaeus. After all, he was a publican and a sinner. Zachaeus' heart must have jumped for joy because verse 6 says he quickly came down and joyfully received Jesus. Zachaeus experienced such a change in his life that he told Jesus he would give back what he had stolen and give half of what he had to the poor. Jesus told him that salvation has come to this house.

Has salvation come to your house? If not, why not ask Jesus to come into your heart and cleanse you from all your sins? What a change there will be when Jesus comes to visit. An even greater change when He comes to stay.

When Jesus comes your way
Don't let Him pass on by.
Invite the Lord into your heart
And just give Him a try
