The last part of verse 19 is the answer to any situation or circumstance that your enemy Satan may bring your way. It states....When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. Praise God because to lift up a standard against him means to put him to flight!! What glorious news to all believers who have their trust placed in God.
When the fiercest of battles is upon us, all we have to do is trust God and the precious Holy Spirit will fight for us. Never forget that the greater one is in us, not Satan who is in the world. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be with us, to stay by us, to come to our aid and to help us. He is with us every day that we live. He will help us when we ask Him to. So, the next time you are surrounded by the enemy, and you can see no way out, shout for the Holy Spirit and watch the devil flee.
