Scripture Romans 14: 7-13

A lot of people today live their lives any way they please. They feel its nobody else’s business how they live and so they do whatever they like, not caring who it affects. According to this scripture, this is not how it is supposed to be. Verse 7 says that none of us live to himself. It even goes as far as to say that no one dies to himself because like Verse 8 says whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

We have no right to judge or condemn anyone, especially not so we can get ahead in life. We will all stand before God and give an account of our lives, not somebody else’s. So, knowing the outcome of life, we can no longer live anyway we please but we must consider if what we are doing will hinder or hurt anyone else. We must never do anything to make our brother or sister or neighbour stumble because if we do, we will answer to God.

So, if you have been living your life with no thought or concern for anyone else, why not consider these verses of Scripture and ask the Lord to help you change. God can work in your life and completely change you, more than you could ever realize. If you are someone who is always concerned about the affairs of others, keep on doing what you are doing, because what you are doing is pleasing in the eyes of God. After all, what He thinks is most important.

Don’t be a stumbling block today
Allow God’s Spirit to have His way
Show concern for all you meet
Before you’re at God’s judgement seat
