Scripture Luke 10: 17-20

These verses deal with choosing good and evil, life or death. God told them that He had set before them life and good, and death and evil. It was entirely up to them which they chose. All he asked was that they loved Him, that they walked in His ways and kept His commandments. If they did, they would live and multiply and He would bless them wherever they went. But He also warned them that if their hearts turned away from Him to worship other gods, that He would remove His blessing from them and their days would be shortened. God had done so much for His people and the way they repaid Him most of the time was by turning away from His commands and doing the things that displeased Him.

A lot of people question today why they should obey God. But I ask you, why not? Why would anyone choose to obey Satan? Let's compare the benefits. To serve God you'll end up in heaven. To serve Satan you'll end up in hell in eternal punishment and damnation. There is no comparison as far as I am concerned.

The people of Moses' day were given a choice and the same choice is available to you. As always God leaves the choice up to you. He's not like Satan. He won't try to lead or force you into anything against your will. The choice is yours. Which will you choose? Blessing or cursing? Life or death?

The choice is up to you
Which will you choose today
Will you live for God above
Or turn from Him away
