Scripture Mark 10: 46-52

Imagine yourself if you can in the place of Bartimaeus. For a long time he had sat by the side of the highway begging. Because he was blind, it was his only means of support. It is quite obvious that he had heard about Jesus because when he heard that Jesus was nearby, he shouted out to Him. Many people tried to silence him, but he cried out even louder. He knew Jesus was the only hope he had of ever seeing, and he was not about to let this opportunity pass him by.

Jesus heard his cries and commanded that he be brought to Him. He cast aside the garment that he wore that showed he was blind and came to Jesus. Jesus asked Him what he wanted from Him and he said he wanted to see. Jesus told him that his faith had made him whole and immediately he received his sight.

Jesus is asking the same question today. What is it that you want me to do for you? What is your need today? Is it so great that you doubt anyone could ever meet it? Do you feel there is no help for you? My friend, Jesus can meet any need you may have, no matter how large or small it may seem to you. With Jesus, nothing is impossible. So, whatever the need is in your life today, if you give it to Jesus and allow Him to work it out, He will not fail you. He is faithful and He will never let you down.

At your deepest point of need
Jesus will meet you there
Whatever your need is today
Take it to God in prayer
