Scripture Hebrews 12: 1-3

As born again Christians we should never feel that we are running this race of life all alone. These verses say that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witness. There are those who have run and are with the Lord, but there are a lot of people still running. We are not running alone.

It also says we are to put aside every weight that hinders our running and to run with patience (meaning endurance). While we are running life’s race we have someone we can go to and look to at all times. He set the example. He endured the cross and is now seated at God’s right hand. When we look at Jesus and all He endured for us, our trials and persecutions become small and pale in comparison. When we continually remember what He did, it helps us not to lose heart and get weary.

Are you finding life’s race getting harder and harder to run? If you are, don’t quit. He will help you to overcome anything you face, if you trust Him. The only way to win the prize is to finish the race. If you feel you have to rest for awhile. Make it a short while. Then pick up your feet in the name of Jesus and start running again. You will make it.

Don’t ever quit life’s race
For time is speeding fast
It’s only what you do for God
Will count when life is past.
