Scriptures Judges 6: 33-40

Gideon had been called by God to go against the enemies of Israel. Gideon, like a good many before him, didn’t feel that he was qualified for the job. He said his family was poor and he was the least in his father’s house. (6:15) Gideon was unsure he could do the job so he needed a sign from God. He needed assurance that he could do what God was asking him. Gideon told God that he would put a fleece of wool on the floor and if the fleece was wet and everything around it was dry, he would know that God would deliver the enemy into his hand.

When he got up in the morning it was exactly how he had asked God that it would be. He then asked God if he would then make the ground wet and the fleece dry. Again it was as he asked it would be. He had received the assurance from God that he needed. He knew they would be victorious, God had shown him that all was well. He was on their side and he would deliver their enemies into their hands

Maybe you too are facing something today and you do not want to move ahead without God’s assurance that it’s the way you should go. Well, you too can ask God to show you what His will is. He is faithful and he does not call you to do something that will make you utterly confused. Confusion is Satan’s job. Just lay whatever it is before Him and ask for His assurance. He will not let you down

Gideon proved that God was there
We can do the same today
When we go to Him in prayer
We know He won’t turn us away
