Scripture Ezekiel 7: 24-27

God loved the people of Israel. He did all that He could for them. Still, they didn’t respond to Him the way they should have. They should have had great respect for God. If not for what he did, at least for who He was. You would think they would have learned from the example of their own people from previous times. They always rebelled against God and payed for their rebellion. They knew how God felt about Idolatry, but they still went ahead and worshipped idols anyway.

They had received word from God where he said that He would bring the worst of the heathen , and they would possess their homes and defile their holy places. God told them that destruction was coming. That they would seek peace but find none. They would seek a vision from the prophet but get none. He said that after all that happened, they would know that He was the Lord. They would finally realize it.

You know, it isn’t much different today is it? People are still not giving God the respect and honour that He should receive. There will also come a time when men shall say peace, but destruction will come. (1 Thess. 5:3) Make no mistake about it, mankind will not continue sinning without paying a price. My prayer is that the price will not be their eternal souls. If you don’t know God today, make it your number one priority to get to know Him. It will be a decision worth making.

Do you want peace today
A peace that never ends
If you do you can find it
In Jesus Christ my friend
