Matthew 18: 18-20

Jesus gave many pieces of advice about how things should be done and what the outcome would be if what he said to do was done. He told his disciples here that whatever they were to bind on earth would be bound in heaven and whatever they loosed on earth would be loosed in heaven. He also told them that if two people were to agree on earth as touching anything they ask, it shall be done for them by God.

I especially like what He said in verse 20. He said where two or three are gathered together in His name, He would be there in the midst. This is wonderful to hear. There are many churches all around the world that have hundreds, sometimes thousands of members. There are also many smaller churches that have a very small congregation. Either way, Jesus is in every one.

Praise God! We do not have to be in the presence of a lot of people to call on the Lord. He is in our midst, no matter how small the number might be. Want to hear some more good news? He is also there when we are alone. No matter where we are, we can talk to the Lord and He is there. Whatever our need is we can ask the Lord, and if the need arises we can join together with others and agree in prayer. Either way, God is in our midst, all the time. What a privileged people we are.

No matter what the number
God is there with you
He is not concerned with numbers
He looks for hearts that are true.
