Scripture Ephesians 1: 1-4

Paul said that he was an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God. It was God's will. According to verse 4, God chose those of us who are saved from the foundation of the world. Imagine! God knew all along that we would receive Jesus into our hearts and be saved. It also tells us that we should be holy and without blame before Him. What a responsibility we have as born again children of God.

God chose us and we have to live the best life we can for Him. We will never be able to do enough to repay Him for the price He paid to save us, and He knows that. But, he does expect us to act like His children should act. He didn't save us so that we could live as we please with no thought to how we act. God has certain standards of living and he expects us to do our best to live up to them.

We must love as He loved and show the same compassion to all we meet that He showed to us. He expects us to tell others how much He loves them and that there is a better way to live than they have been living. When we think of how wonderful it is to know Jesus, it is only right that we share with others how wonderful he is, so that they too can experience the privilege of accepting Him as their Lord and Saviour.

God has chosen us today
To show people He's the way
To let them see He loves them too
The way He loves me and you
