Scripture Philippians 4: 11-13

Paul was a man of God who faced many hardships in his life. He was saying here that he had learned to be content in whatever state he found himself in. Meaning: Regardless of his circumstances, he had learned to trust God. He knew what it was like to have plenty and to be without. He knew what it was like to be full and to be hungry. There wasn’t much that Paul had not faced.

What conclusion had he reached? I believe the answer to that question is found in Verse 13. He said....I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me. He knew that all the strength and help he needed he could find in God. Paul had proven exactly who God was and what He could do in the life of someone who trusted Him.

God never ever said that when we got saved we would never have another problem. Paul had seen God meet need after need in his life and he knew that God would always come through for him. I am sure many times God didn’t do things the way Paul thought He might. But Paul trusted God. How is it with you today? Do you have your complete trust placed in God. Do you trust Him even when things don’t go the way you would like for them to go?

Thank God that we have a heavenly Father who is there all the time and who cares about everything that involves us. Trust Him today. When we trust Him, we through Him will indeed be able to do all things, with the strength He gives.

We do all things today
Through God, no other way
If we depend on Him
All battles we will win
