What joy must have filled Satan's heart at the moment because he was convinced that he was right about Job. Verses 14-19 tells us that Job lost everything he had. But imagine Satan's surprise and how mad he must have been when after all he did to Job, Job fell down on the ground, worshipped and blessed the name of the Lord.
There is a real lesson to be learned here in this chapter. Many times everything in our lives seem to be going so good and we are praising God and thanking Him for His love and care. Then all of a sudden... destruction, everything goes wrong. What do we do then? Should we stop praising God? No! We must praise God in the bad times as well as the good. If we can only praise God in the good times, we had better re-examine our relationship with Him. He is worthy to be worshipped and praised at all times. So the next time things don't seem to be going well, lift your hands high and praise God anyway.
