Scripture 1 Corinthians 3:1-9

Here we see Paul talking to the people in the church at Corinth. The Christians there were still babes in Christ, still needing the milk of the word. As far as Paul was concerned, they should have been mature enough to receive the meat of the word. However, because of the strife and divisions between them they were not growing in the things of the Lord as they should have been.

They were arguing over the importance of the one who ministers to them when they accepted Jesus into their hearts. One was saying he was of Apollos, another that he was of Paul. Paul reminded them that they were only ministers of the gospel and were not to receive the glory that was due God. He said they were labourers together.

Anyone in ministry today also have to be very careful not to take the glory away from God. We are nothing in ourselves. Without the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit, our ministry would be in vain. We would be absolutely useless. It's time for the children of God to stop quarrelling and arguing amongst themselves about things that are not important. It's time for us to arise, unite together in love and win this world for Jesus. We have to stop being babes in Christ, grow up and be mature enough to be used by God.

Stop acting like a child
Grow up and act like Him
He'll never let you down
If you give all for Him
