Scripture Matthew 6:25-34

Countless of times I have heard people say that they are worried to death over something. Another familiar statement is, "I'm worried sick." A lot of people feel that it is ok to worry, that it's the natural thing to do. Jesus took these verses of scripture to tell us what He thinks of worrying. He said we are not to do it because worrying about a situation, doesn't change it one bit. But it can and will make you sick. Many people have ended up with a nervous condition and some have even tried to commit suicide because they felt they could no longer face the worries and care of their lives.

Jesus never meant for things to be that way. He came that we might have abundant life. He said we could cast all our cares and burdens on Him. He is there for us and when we have Jesus in our lives there is absolutely no excuse for us to worry.

Jesus told us that he would always be with us and if we read Philippians 4:19 we see that it says that God will supply all our needs. So if you are one that is always worrying about the things of life, cast all your cares upon the Lord. If you don't know Jesus, just simply bow your head, ask Him to forgive your sins and come into your heart. Then give your life over to Him and refuse to worry anymore.

If you want to be free from worry
If you want to be free from care.
Just give it over to Jesus
He will quickly cast out every fear.
