Scripture Matthew 5:13-16

"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." Sounds to me that Jesus is saying that we are to be an example of goodness in front of the world because they are looking to see our good works so that God might be glorified in what we do. He said that others should be able to find their way to Jesus by what they see in us

Jesus also said that we are to be the salt of the earth. If you have ever eaten anything cooked without salt then you know how bad it tastes. For us as Christians to be the salt of the earth, we have a responsibility to the Lord Jesus Christ to be the very best that we can be. I've often heard people being referred to as the salt of the earth. Meaning that they were good examples of what was right to those who lived around them. That is how we are to be.

Are we living a life in front of others that shows that we are different? People are tired today of hearing Christians tell them what they should be doing and then seeing then doing the opposite themselves. It's time that our walk matched our talk. Can others see the love of Jesus flowing from us? If not, then we need to draw closer to Jesus and allow His Spirit to make us what we ought to be.

If salt is no longer salty
The taste is no longer there
If we are no longer useful
It's time for earnest prayer
