Those of us who are born again should be aware of what the word of God says. We are to be wide awake, expecting the return of the Lord at any moment.
All throughout the Old Testament it was prophesied about what would come upon the world. It's a part of God's plan. We can expect nothing any different to happen than what God said would happen. God's word will be fulfilled. Sad to say though, most people are living as if the world will always exist. But 2 Peter 3:10 says that the Heavens will pass away with a great noise, the elements will melt with fervent heat and even the earth will be burned up.
Make no mistake about it, what God said will come true. The only thing that will last is a relationship with Jesus. There is no life outside of the Lord. If your life is secure in Jesus take courage, He's coming soon. If you don't know Him, seek Him today, you'll just be in time.
