When Jesus Comes

When Jesus comes in clouds of glory
To welcome all His children home
The saved on earth will go to meet Him
No more upon this earth we'll roam
We will rise to meet our Saviour
With Him forever we will be
Throughout all the countless ages
Throughout all eternity

When Jesus comes to take His children
To our home beyond the sky
Life will be so very different
No more will we have to sigh
Everyone will be so happy
For with Him we'll always be
When Jesus comes to take His children
From mortal bodies we'll be free

There we all will live together
We will walk on streets of gold
With the martyrs and the blood washed
Where we'll never more grow old
No more sickness, death or sorrow
In that place of final rest
There will be no night in heaven
There we'll have the very best

For He's gone to prepare mansions
For those who serve Him here below
When the time is right in Heaven
The saved on earth will surely go
We'll worship at His feet forever
Forever praise Him for all He's done
We'll forever be contented
In the presence of God's Son
