Such Love

As Jesus hung there on the tree
Dying for mankind's sin
Even with the pain He felt
When the thief reached out to Him
He responded in love and mercy
The way He always did
He was dying there that day
So you and I might live

Through the pain and the suffering
The one there by His side
Asked the Lord to remember him
When they both had died
Jesus spoke with such love
He spoke so kind to him
He told him that Paradise
Would soon find both of them

As He hung there that day
He felt forsaken by everyone
There He was, The Lamb of God
The Father's precious Son
In desperation He cried to God
Why have you forsaken me
He felt that all had left Him
Alone He died on Calvary

No matter where He was
Or how hurt He did feel
He proved His love once more
There on Golgotha's hill
He died there on Mount Calvary
To set all mankind free
We'll never fully realize
What He paid for you and me

Don't allow the devil
To blind your eyes today
Think about what Jesus did
And the price He had to pay
Invite Him now into your life
And live each day for Him
Remembering just what He did
To redeem you from your sin..
