Loss

This poem was given to me on April 6, 1995 by the Lord.
I believe it is for a particular lady.
As you read it, allow the Lord to minister to you.
Allow Him to give you His peace.
He loves you so much. He’s standing by.

The sun was setting in the west
The day had seemed so long
The birds that sang so sweetly
By this time hushed their song
The evening shadows deepen
As the day comes to a close
Somewhere a mother is crying
Just why you do not know

A child has been taken from her
A child she loves so well
There’s no one now to listen
To the story she needs to tell
She was her only child
She loved her oh so much
Now she’s but a memory
If only one more touch

The child is now with Jesus
So happy as can be
Still the mother sits and cries
She so needs to be free
She doesn’t realize the truth
That God can set her free
From the loneliness she feels
If she would say help me

Oh Christian friends be watching
For those with needs today
There are so many people
Who get hurt along life’s way
There’s many in our world
That sit and cry alone
Little do they realize
God’s still on the throne

We need to show them Jesus
Show them how much He cares
Show them how much He loves them
He sees each falling tear
God knows how they are feeling
In their thoughts He can enter in
For He lost His only Son
He died for mankind’s sin
