There's so much spiritual darkness
Within our world today
People need someone to bring
The light of the gospel their way
God gave us His Son Jesus
The light of the world was He
Wherever He places you today
Shine bright as you can be
It may be in some distant place
Or upon some other shore
It may just be in your family
Where God's love you can pour
Wherever God has placed you
Shine bright as bright can be
For others need to see God's love
Shining from you and me
If you serve the Lord today
Don't let your light grow dim
Someone may be watching you
To find their way to Him
Allow the Spirit to shine
Within your life today
For in their search for Jesus
They may just come your way
