For Jesus sent Him to us
When He went from earth away
He said He'd send the Comforter
To walk with us each day
God's Spirit is a gentleman
He leads us with such care
Our lives are full of peace and joy
When God's Spirit He is there
Through winds may blow so fierce
And storms may all abound
There's peace found in God's Spirit
True peace there can be found
If we allow God's Spirit
To always have His way
Our lives will be much better
As we live from day to day
He will not leave us on our own
For Jesus said He'd be
Always, forever by our side
He'll live in you and me
He'll gently lead and guide us
Until our work is done
Then bring us into the presence
Of Jesus God's precious Son
