Readings for CWG2 Week 12

Read: Pages 155-174

Thoughts for the Week:

Your first question, always, must be: What do I want
here?--not: What does the other person want here? (157)

Consciousness is everything. (158)

Sometimes the best way to love someone, and the most
help you can give, is to leave them alone or empower
them to help themselves. (159)

The evolution of a society is measured by how well it
treats the least among its members. (169)

When in doubt, always err on the side of compassion. (170)

Compassion never ends, love never stops, patience never
runs out in God's World. (171)

Nothing exists in the universe that is separate from
anything else. (173)

Look for the answers to these questions:

  1. What is the one question of any relevance we should ask
     regarding our thoughts? (156)
  2. Why is it that at a high metaphysical level no one is
     "disadvantaged"? (156)
  3. Why do we choose and create the people, events and
     circumstances of our lives? (156)
  4. Why are our relationships in such a mess? (157)
  5. What is the purpose of all human relationships? (158)
  6. What has God provided us with so that we can create
and know Who We Are? (158)
  7. What is "consciousness"? (158)
  8. What is the greatest help you can give a person? (159)
  9. When is it disempowering to offer help? (161)
10. What kind of issues are goodness and fairness? (166)
11. What does God require of us? (167)
12. What is the "test" of whether you are helping or
      hurting another? (170)
13. Where is goodness limited? (171)
14. What does God see when we throw God's goodness back
      in God's face? (171)
15. Why does God have compassion for us? (171)
16a. Does anyone truly desire to hurt another? (172)
   b. Why does someone hurt another? (172)
17. How can we solve the problems which plague mankind? (173)
18. What is the Ultimate Truth? (173)
19. How does the Law of Love work? (173)

Things to Think About:

Have you ever disempowered someone by the "help" you gave? Can
you think of a way you could have given help in a way that
empowered them?

Have you ever felt disempowered by the "help" you received
from someone else?

The numbers in parenthesis refer to those pages of
Conversations with God, Book 2 by Neale Donald Walsch
on which this information can be found.
