I wished for silence always soft,

from where I lived before.

To take away the raven calls,

their noise be nevermore.

I finally sought to find a place,

where peace would let me sleep.

And ran away, to somewhere else

in search of stillness deep.

I found a quiet, peaceful home

where ravens never flew.

I slept, it seemed, forever,

til I felt as strong as new.

But far away a voice remained,

I'd left behind in flight.

It said, the ravens went away,

It's peaceful here at night.

And so I walk beneath the trees,

A quiet spot to roam.

But often thinking to myself,

It's quiet, too, at home.
