-=* Fairy Tales *=-
We search in every secret door,
To find a once forgotten shore.
Of silver sky-blue sand at night,
Where oceans shine a red so bright.
We never search for love in books,
or find a mermaid on our hooks.
For fish, you see, should never read.
Of worms, or flying pumpkin seed.
I grant you that in stories bold,
A cabbage can be king, I'm told,
And seas of boiling red perspire,
To clouds of icy purple fire.
But all of this, and more, I say,
Can hold no sealing wax at bay.
Or stop a shoe from flying deep
'neath clouds of feathers tigers weep.
I've written this for you to read,
In hopes that you will know the deed.
For baited hooks are never watched.
And pots of boiling eggshells botched.
So follow this, the words of none,
And soon you'll see the deed is done.
And you'll be pictured in a book.
A trophy cabbage...on your hook.
