A few More Examples

Here are a few more examples. You can take these and modify them and just keep combining filters and fades and adjustments until you get some really interesting edges. , I would love to see what you come up with! send me an email if you have created some edge effects from this tutorial or anything you've created, I love seeing other peoples work!

This is the effect on the first page of the tutorial. To create this type of edge effect, use the filter> brushstroke> crosshatch, stroke length 25, sharpness 10, strength 3

Then to remove the color from the strokes, do image>adjust>hue saturation. Reduce the saturation to -50.. You can leave the color if you choose and omit this step.

 

This effect is the combination of 2 filters and the fade filter command.
!.Filter>brush strokes>sprayed strokes stroke length 16 ,spray radius 15, direction right diagonal.
2. Filter>brush strokes>sprayed strokes stroke length 16 spray radius 15 direction left diagonal..
3. Filter>artistic>paintdaubs. Brush size 1, sharpness 40, type wide sharp.

Filter> fade paint daubs, opacity 80, mode dissolve
