Smart Ripper

1.  Start up Smart Ripper.  The program will attempt to open the DVD.  If it fails and displays the message that your DVD may be locked, you will either have to restart your computer or play your DVD on a software DVD player to unlock it.

2.  Now you will select the movie/episode to rip.  Smart ripper will automatically select the correct files according to size.  If its incorrect, you will have to manually choose which files to rip.  Note that the Title/Chapter structure is different on each DVD, so you may have to experiment to get the correct one.  Your movie should be the largest file(s) on the DVD, while the extras should be the smaller ones.  The DVD below is a dual layer one.  The first IFO contains the first movie, which is 1h 51m long.  The second IFO is the second movie, and the last IFO contains the extras.

3.  Now look at the size of the file.  Make sure you have enough space in your target location and make sure that each individual file is <4 Gigs.  If not, you will have to set it in "Settings".

4.  Leave the default settings, and select the target location.  Then click "Start" when you're done.  The program will start ripping all the vobs/ifo onto your hdd.
