Nandub

Nandub is just a variation of the original virtualdub.  It contains basically all the same features, but adds a new SBC option.  The cool thing about SBC is that it is able to switch between fast/low divx codec depending on the scene, producing a uniform and crisp picture overall.  I decided to leave out explanation of some of the more advance options for simplicity (and because I don't know what they do ^__^; )

1.  We will first setup Nandub and save the settings.  Startup Nandub and go the the SBC Settings.

2.  Enter in the settings as illustrated.  You must change the Bitrate to control the file size of your file.  Anything above 1000k is good, and anything above 1500k is near DVD quality.  For the minimum allowed bitrate, set it to 100-200 kbps below your base bitrate.

3.  Now go through all the tabs (except ECF) and enter in the following values.

4.  Once that's done, save your settings.  You can later load it by going to "File->Load processing settings...".
