Here is text copies of the book that Inez Lucile (Barton) Wible had in her possession, now in Marie Anita Barton's (Formerly Anita Marie Barton) possession.
Page scans and this following text transcribed by Paul Taylor Barton (b. December 28 1944) started on June 5, 2001.
Updated: July 18, 2009 - PTB.
Starting to add information on Ernest O Webb and parents.

Following is text and scans of this book, please be aware that I may not be able to identify all of this handwriting correctly, so be patient. If you see names, etc. that don't look correct, holler back.
I am putting these horizontal breaks between pages, with [brackets] for my notes.

Note: Nunda N.Y. is in Livingston County about 15 mi south of Avon N.Y.
Owego N.Y. is in Tioga County about 10 mi west of Binghamton above Athens. Note that there is a town of Barton nearby.

I am looking for any information about Austin Lloyd Wible and his wife/daughter.

This family history was compiled & written by Inez Lucile [Barton] Wible, mother of Austin Lloyd Wible.

Stone of Guilford Connecticut.

The first I know of the Stone Family of which I an descended, is a record of the Rev. Samuel Stone of Hereford, England a "non conformist divine" (presumably Congregationalist) who numbered among his descendants two sons. John & William Stone.

John & William with their wives joined the parishoners of the Rev. Henry Whitfield (Congregationalist) of Okley or Ockley, England. Under the leadership of the Rev. Whitfield a company of forty or fifty left England in 1639 and sailed to New Haven Conn. Which had been settled in 1638, to remain until they had decided upon a location for the town of Guilford, Conn. which they settled that same year of 1639. The town remained a part of New Havens government for some time. Among that company of original settlers are listed as free men (men who partook of the sacrament of the church). John Stone, William Stone, his brother and our ancestor & William Dudley our ancestor since Sept. 22, 1760, when his descendant of the fifth generation in America, Lois Dudley married Aaron Stone who became a commissioned officer in the Revolutionary War.

The land for the town of Guilford, Conn. was purchased from the Indians, and the latter agreed to and did, depart from that locality.

The First Congregational Church in Guilford was erected in 1643 and became the center of the community with Wm. Dudley as clerk. In his book "Conneticut Historical Collections" says John Warner Barber, published in 1837, "Neither minister, church or people were ever dissenters or separatists from the church of England only by local remove from the realm". Here follows the outline of genealogy of the Stone family as I have traced it in reference libraries & private records. Edith Whitehead Wilner. 1957.
