I have been a fan of Jewel for many years now, I enjoy reading her poetry and prose as well. She inspires me a great deal through her written and performed words. Her work has opened my eyes to some of my own weaknesses, I first noticed this when I actually started listening to the words in her songs - Pieces of You realy changed the way I treated people and helped me deal with my own prejudices and outlooks.
I have also many times gotten peace of mind just laying in bed with the candles flickering listening to her cd's.
Currently I am reading Chasing Down the Down and A Night Without Armor both written by Jewel, they are wonderful and thought provoking. I hope one day to see her in concert and experiece her poetic music live.
