Thank you to Columbus Firefighters!

On December 7, 2002 Captain Lawrence W Francisco, Firefighter Brian J. Sullivan and numerous other firefighters responded when a man was pinned beneath a fallen elevator. Brian Sullivan managed to slip between the wall of the shaft and the elevator, got the elevator working, and
saved the life of my husband, Dennis Palmer.

On Nov. 13 2003 Firefighter Sullivan received the Silver Maltese Award for his bravery.

Captain Francisco, the other person who entered the shaft under the unstable elevator, received the Bronze Maltese Award.
