Piedra del Elefante, a short, 35 minute, drive from Puerto Ordaz

It was here, long ago, that a Precambrian volcano, formed a high cone of lava, 3.400 millions years ago of what is now The Elephant's Foot rock near Puerto Ordaz. The place is very quit, with interesting plants. Part of the rock was cut here because a rail pass behind it.
 
A natural spring of water born from the rock itself from water that leak out of the middle portion
 
In The Rock, cyclists and walkers can enjoy the trails which run over the hard rock surface.
 
Near by the Piedra del Elefante Rock is Cabeza del Elefante Rock that is Elephant Head's Rock which is 30 mts taller and not so easy to climb as you see
