FILE STATUS UTILITY Release Level 1.02.030 This application consists of one runfile: FileStatus.run and a command case of FS Product Name : File Status Supported On : B24, B26, B27, B28, B38, B39, and all SuperGen hardware Supported OS : BTOS II, CTOS I, CTOS II, CTOS III Description : This program allows the comparison of a list of files with the characteristics of those same files from a previous time. Directions/Use : This application may be run by executing the /File Status executive command using the following mandatory and optional fields: File List This is a required field. This may utilize any CTOS Executive recognized wild cards. @-files may be used and may include wild cards (but not embedded @-files). Note: the 'Files' wildcard ~ is NOT supported. Multiple sub-parameters may be specified. or consistency, for a particular comparison run, this should match the specification given when the reference data was originally captured. [Print File] This field is optional. The default is [vid]. This specifies the destination for the output report. [Data File (Current Dir)] This field is optional. The default is 'FileStatus.Data'. This specifies the name of the data file which is used for comparison purposes. This should be unique for each 'File List' combination you use. This file is created if not present and replaced if present. [Show UnChanged?] This field is optional. The default is 'no'. This specifies whether files which have not altered in any way since the last run are to appear in the report. [Show Accessed?] This field is optional. The default is 'no'. This specifies whether files which have been accessed (but not updated) are to appear in the report. [Suppress Modified?] This field is optional. The default is 'no'. This specifies whether files which have been modified are to appear in the report. The report is sorted by Volume, Directory and file name. The layout is similar to the sFiles report, with the filename prefixed by an indicator of what aspect of the file has changed. A: The file has been accessed (based on Access date) C: The file has been re-created (based on Creation date) D: The file has been deleted (prior details printed) M: The file has been modified (based on Modify date) N: This is a new file. U: The file is unmodified Restrictions: The volume name (if specified) must be consistent between multiple runs. If specified differently (eg: 'Sys' one run, 'D0' the next) incorrect results will be reported. I suggest using @-files.
