History of Paul's Site

Check here to see if I've updated anything.
The original site was created over a weekend in OCT 97. It had a home page, with 3 pages: Computers, Cars, and The Arts.

A week later I added most of the content in the Automobile section. The menu was across the top. This was changed Spring 98 because some browsers would cut off the labels. The "Problems" page was "under construction" until OCT 98. I also added the page about Computer games.

Early in 1998 I added a Remote Control to the home page. It allows me to go to several sites important to me. It is simple JavaScript. It was still on most pages with the blue background, because they were derived from the original home page, until JAN 99, when I removed because the Geocities branding made it look bad, and the Geocities Pop-Up advertising would disturb the operation of the code.

Since APR 98, I have been "working" on a maze built in JavaScript and HTML. It almost works, and has almost worked since June 98. Maybe I'll finish it. Don't hold your breath.

MAY-JUNE 98 I created a section for Lucas Arts' Star Wars Rebellion strategy game, combining the best information found on many other sites and chat areas with my own ideas. I stopped playing the game before I had played as the Empire, so there are "under construction" areas there.

Starting in the summer of 1998, I was doing web development at work. I needed an area to store some information, so I added a web developer section. This is not for beginners. If you already design your own pages, you will like this.

In AUG 98, the home page grew to several screens. I cut the "About my site" into a separate page. Later I would move the menu area into a table.

DEC 98 - Added and edited "Web Development" area
JAN 99 - Created "Site" directory and expanded "About", "Site Map" and "History" into separate pages.
MAY 99 - I have been busy with projects for GM, Wohlsen Construction, DuPont, Broadreach, and Vanguard for 6 months. I totaled the Tiburon, bought a TransAm, ended a 3.5 year relationship with my girlfriend, and am building 2 computers (Pentium IIIs) to replace my 133Mhz Pentium, plus a PC for my roommate. I am also preparing to take the Domino R5 upgrade certification exams, and to return to college in AUG. So I have neglected this site. (Like my excuse?)
JUN 99 - Still not changing much on this site. Added answer to "Email Tax".

APR 2K - Minor updates all over.
