Sunday, June 29, 2003 10:59:07 AM What a long, strange month it's been! All my lessons came together to use my fear to carry me through adversity. My ego-mind did want me to stay in the same place I was before. Yet, as a living, growing being, I had to change. The high point of the month was flying up to Bellevue to attend the Millionaire Mind Intensive. I was afraid that my finances would be hindered, because it would take two billable days out of my schedule. But the Universe had stacked the cards so that the invitation would be unmistakable. The intensive was free (a $1,295 value). The air fare was free (a $420 value). The hotel was free (an $800 value). It looked like the Universe was giving me the seminar. I might as well go and see how a millionaire -- one millionaire named T. Harv Eker, anyway -- thinks. The intensive was, at the very least, intense. We went through a genuine workshop process. The exercises were continuous and absorbing. The lectures were energetic and inspiring. We examined our value systems end to end and compared them with Harv's. Someone I used to know said, "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?" Harv led us all to discover the real answer. "Feel the fear and do it anyway" has been a theme in my life for over a year now. Harv brought it home at a deeper level. He showed us the way to eliminate our debts and move on to a state of financial freedom. His techniques included one that was concrete, boldly visual, and easy to use. At the heart of it, we learned that all reality is an opinion, and that we are allowed to change our opinions. We learned a new criterion with which to select our thoughts -- one that had not been made clear to me, anyway, in my Unity training and my Science of Mind training. Harv is a metaphysician, but he doesn't espouse a religion. What he does espouse is wealth. The past few weeks Margaret and I have worked out a joint budget. Our relationship has escalated to an intimacy we have never seen before. We are disclosing, cooperating, and loving. I found that an appointment that was oppressing me held no power over me. I found that I did not have to pay excessive rent to my landlord. All kinds of transformative perceptions have occurred to me, and my world has become refreshed. "Change your thinking and change your life," a maxim that most of my friends believe, has been enhanced with the instruction of how to change my thinking. Straight from the mouth of a millionaire. "Consciousness precedes manifestation." Before the physical world changes, the Mind and our perception have to change. And it has.
