The enemies and characters in this game need to have a little work done on them though. For example, all of these bosses in the game are incredibly easy they should have made it a bit harder. The idea of basing a story of a game on evolution is a great idea! Evolotion is one of the few things that I think is stupid. But anyway, as I was saying this game has a good blend of action and adventure and RPG. For example look up when you hit an enemy they have a power bar that will appear when they are hit and when they are hit a number appears on them just like in traditional RPGS but the blue spheres go down on thier meter. You also have a power bar similar to the enemies. Probably the greatest thing about this game is when you kill all the enemies in one area (instead of getting expierence points) you get a jewel that boosts your abilities. A GREAT IDEA IF YOU ASK ME, MAKES FOR A NICE BREAK! The game itself can seem very long when you first play it but after a while it becomes short. Most RPGs are like this. Overall Enix did a good job in making this game. Whne you need certain things in this game you get them that is just plain stupid. Wake up from sleeping in the middle of your Seventh Period class. And meet the gang in the southeastern cave expect them to demand a demonstration of your mental powers. Pick up the 2nd card from the right when you play the card guessing game. After you are done here go on top of the school roof a Dark Space is here. Talk to Gaia (the wierd guy sitting on a bottle with tentacles) and he will fortell of your mission save your game and head out. After thats over go back to your buddy's place and talk to everyone then Erik will rush in and tell you guys that the princess from Edward's Castle is here in town. Then go out of the cave go back to your house and you will find that a pif is wrecking the room try to go upstairs the pig will push you aside and Kara will come out and start to complain about your grandparents singing. Go upstairs and then talk to both of your grandparents then you'll hear Kara scream. Go downstairs and watch the soldiers drag her out. Then go and talk to your grandparents go upstairs and eat a pie. After that talk to your parents again. You will get a note from your grandma. King Edward wants you to go to the castle. Go to the stairs leading out of town and then head out to Edward's castle. Edwards Castle: Something has gone rotten in the castle the King has hired a hunter for unknown but supposedly evil purposes. The guard at the door to the King's throne won't let you in until you go and talk to Kara. Go and talk to her you will find that she wants out. After you are done go back to the door leading to the throne. The King will ask for the Crystal Ring but you don't have it anywhere no matter what you'll say he'll throw you in prison. Edward's Prison: You should check out everything here and talk to everything the walls, chains, the door, and the moss are what you need to talk to. Eventually you hear your father's voice from inside the flute go to the left hand wall in the upper corner a Dark Gem will drop down. Then the voice will talk some more and then eventually disappear. Then a guard will give you bread then Hamlet Kara's pig will show up with a key use it to unlock the door. Then you must fight your out from here. In the early part of the dungeon path you will be blocked by 2 stone statues. Press and Hold L or R while facing them to move them out of your way. In Edward's Prison you can find a herb in a Treasure chest by hitting the first floor switch with your flute. The second floor switch you come across isn't important. Defeat the swarm of bats to reach the hall with the flower play Lola's melody here hit the switch on your right when a 3 appears above your head. The switch beyond the stone wall can't be hit by you go to the pier destroy the serpents and enter a new Dark Space where you can play as Freedan hes a great fighter but right now his main objective is to hit the switch you couldn't reach. Then follow the path and exit the prison. Return to the Castle: Having escaped the prison you must now take Kara with you go up to her room (don't worry the guards snoozing) and talk to her she will tell you of a piece of meat down in the basement of the castle. Press A when in front of the 2nd row of barrels from the right. Return to South Cape: When you get back to your house it is a mess it has been turned over by the Jackal the hunter hired by the king. You're grandparents are gone. Lilly appears at this time. And you go to Itory Village. Itory Village: Lilly takes you to her village at first there appears nothing. But after you blow Lola's Melody the Village appears. This village is home to your late mother Shira. Run down the hill that has a ramp on the other side of the cliff and keep running until you hit the ramp you'll go flying to where the village elder is waiting answer yes to all of his questions and then find the statue in the cave on this island by using a Psycho Dash against the right of the back wall. Then after you have go and talk to Lilly in her house you will set off for the Moon Tribe Ruins. Learn the Psycho Dash by visiting the Dark Space in the Incan Temple at the north of the town. Moon Tribe Ruins: The shadows on the mountaint top here will reveal more about the comet. They will tell a story of the Chaos Comet, how it is the remnant of and ancient terrible battle. They also will tell of how the comet's light has mutated thier people talk to all of the tribe. Then go into the South cave Lilly stays outside. Defeat all of the creatures within 20 seconds to win the second statue. You'll also find here that someone is chasing you. Maybe its the JACKAL! (Oooohh! I am scared! I just wizzed my pants!) Incan Ruins: You must go here to get to the fabled ship of gold. Theres a Diamond Shaped block that will fit into the diamond shaped hole letting you go on its near the pit of spikes. Battle through to the chest to get the block. And then set it in the hole to open the way ahead. Out on the cliffside look for a gap in the ring of stones. You can jump down to another part of the cliff and then enter the cave. Return to the room with the statuehead in the square of blocks when you are Freedan to reach the head destroy it and it will open up a ramp for you. The secret of the 4 gold plates lies in the secret of the 4 gold statues use your flute to move them around so you can move 3 to 3 of the plates and stand on the fourth. Be careful not to get to close to the statues or they'll come to life. Messing up your chances of getting through. As Freedan find a door that will lead on onto a statue it will whistle a tune called the Wind Melody whichis used later by Will. The four enemies that exist in statue form must be brought to lif before you can defeat them and move on. To open up the way forward in the room with thousands of Golden Tiles stand on the tile that is in the next to last horizontal row 4th from the right side wait a while for the door to open. Then go outside and set Incan Statue A and B on the Statue heads mantles then save your game at the Dark Space then turn into Freedan. Go and stand at where the center stone is in between the 3 pillars. Youll get transported to a door leading to Castoth. After you defeat him. (Refer to the beat The Boss section for more info.) Go through the door and then jump down the hole in that room. It will land you on the Incan Ship of Gold. Incan Ship of Gold: When you drop down the hole youll land on a ship go and talk to the Queen. Everyone on board thinks youre thier king. The ship won't set sail until you talk to the guy on top of the Crows Nest. Go get the Mystic Statue the queen told you about. Go downstairs and get the statue. Then Crawl on to the platform that the girl is standing next to. You will be pulled into a dream your mother will be downstairs in your house with portents of the comet. When you wake up all the Inca will be dead. Go where the queen was and talk to her mummy. Lilly and Kara will appear and then Kara will take the Queen's ring then the ship will shake go out on deck and Lance and Erik will tell that Seth was swallowed by Riverson (after he fell overboard)which is what is shaking the boat Riverson will hit the ship SO hard you and everyone else will all be sent flying into different directions. You will then be on a raft waiting rescue expect to eat raw fish, and to almost get attacked by sharks. Eat a piece of the meat that you got from the castle it won't be long and you will collapse on the floor. Then you will be in the Diamond Coast. Diamond Coast: Nothing to do except follow the story. You have contracted Scurvy and are laying on the bed. A man tells Kara of the disease and then you wake up. Kara tells you were having a fit in bed. And then she goes out to thank the dog. (SHYEAH! WHATEVER KARA!!) Follow her out and then talk to her. And head for Freejia. Freejia: This beautiful town was named after a flower but there is decay in the back alley. Just like a rose has thorns a pretty town has another side. Be sure to cash in your jewels with Gem and get the upgrades. You will find out that your friends are all in the hotel working for a living. But there is just one porblem Lance has seem to have lost his memory. Enter the house right behind the man on the right of the 2 that wants to know where the laborer is there is a dark space in there. To find where the runaway laborer is take the dead end alley then go up the backside of the hotel to find where he is hiding talk to both of them. Be a snitch and turn the guy in to the 2 men who I mentioned before. To learn more about the trade go up to the door at the end of the back alley. The voice in the house located in the northeast corner of the town belongs to a coward. But do NOT attempt to rescue your friend before you go to the labor market in the end of the back alley where there is a door in a stone wall and talk to all of the kids there. Break in his door and rescue your friend. Then exit the town and go to the mines. Diamond Mine: Its time to do the right thing to rescue all of the laborers bound with a ball and chain. Hit the chain with your flute to cut it. Then talk to them they can give you useful items like keys. There is no way to open the locked elevator without the key which is located much deeper in the mine. Hit the four switches on the cross shaped platform to open the door in the middle. The lower level has the biggest secrets of all. At the end of a passage is a Dark Space without Freedan, the only one who can reach the last enemy in the main room. Use the psycho dash at the back of the wall to discover a second room and a Dark Space with Freedan. Use the Dark Friar on the unreachable enemy in the back. With the fence removed now you can get the elevator key. Take the elevator to the morgue here you'll find another key its a shiny spot in the lower right. In another room you'll find the Memory Melody whcih helps Lance. Also get keys from the laborers. Go to the one room where all the laborers are and free them. Then exit and go back to Freejia. Return to Freejia: After you return go to the hotel and play the memory melody and Lance will regain his memory. Then you will move on to Neil's House. Neil's House: You journey to Neil's house. Hes an inventor and he will later join the party. Neil has invented some really incredible stuff, including an airplane! The airplane itself is used later. There isn't really much to do here just listen to the people talk and then just look at all of Neil's inventions then talk to everyone then you will head to the Nazca Plain. Nazca Plain: Talk to everyone standing around the plain and then run in every corner in the lower left you'll find a member of the Moon Tribe. Follow him until he starts to float off the screen. Then go and talk to Neil. He'll ask you where the comet was seen in the constellation of Cygnus because Cygnus is the drawing of the condor. The rocks represent the stars in the constellation. Just answer to choose any one of them and then follow them to the place and talk to some of them. You'll disappear and you'll be headin' to the Sky Garden. Sky Garden: Above the Nazca Plain floats a garden of creatures warped by the comet's light your job is to find the crystals in each of the four areas it doesn't really matter what order you find them in. The Sky Garden of the Moon Tribe has a hidden side. If you step off a facing edge you will end up in a world with tougher enemies called the Back Garden. To get the first crystal ball just hit everything in the area. I am going in a clockwise order from upper right so follow along. The Guardian Statue comes alive if hit, hit him then destroy his sword then move him using telekinesis. The Second Crystal Ball can be found by charging down a ramp and then leaping over to the right side. Use Freedan on the back garden to strike foes across the blocks. Crystal Ball Three probably the hardest one to get use Freedan to hit the switch on the back garden from a distance so you won't get trapped. Then go back to the front garden to where you can reach the Dark Space. In this area you will have to use the switches on both sides of the garden to remove the blocks. You must also use Will for several situations described here. You will need a running start to get to the Crystal Ball Chest. The block in the middle of your pathway can be lowerd with a switch on the back garden. Use will's Psycho Dash to reach the statues and break them. Use Will's telekinetic power to move the statue on to the switch. Now you can run across the open space without hitting the block after all this just run down the beggining of the path until you get to the big ramp then run down the big ramp and keep running you should make it up to the Crystal Ball Chest. Crystall Ball Number 4 is hard to get this path follows a mazelike layout. In an area in the back garden you will have to hit the guardian statue so it comes to life then destroy its sword and then move across to hit the switch so you can explore more areas. Now when you ome to two ramps take the upper jump then get the herb in the chest then jump down to the back garden find your back to the lower left then jump back up to the Sky Garden. Then take the lower jump and get the last Crystal Ball. Now go and set all 4 of the balls in the holes. Then go and save your game at the Dark Space. Then go up the pathway don't worry you can't fall down. Destroy Viper. And then jump down to what seems like doom luckily Neil and his airplane are at hand. The airplane loses altitude and you fly into the sea. Luckily you have parachutes and you jump out. But you land in an underground palace. Seaside Palace: This is where a rumor of vampires haunt the halls. Your first task is to purify the well that produces demons continusly. Then after talking to all the people hunt down the vampires in Mu. Kara and the others will appear in rooms but they will be faded and they talk as if they have no mind However, Lilly is still fine find her in one of the side rooms. She will hide in your pocket but she is very helpful when it comes to finding out whats in the vampires coffins. By searching the last coffin you will find the Purification Stone. Don't waste your time with defeating the enemies here they can't be defeated. Find the fountain on the lowest level of the palace slect the Purification Stone and throw it in. The effects of this aren't really dramatic but now you can learn much more from the people that were once demons. The Labor Traders were sold by their friends to the Vampires like a living blodd bank. Talk to the guy in the room that you get to by going dwon 2 floors from the top floor look for the first staircase that is going down go down them and go to the left a man will give you a key to mu. Go upstairs save your game now unlock the door and proceed to Mu. The Land of Mu: Suddenly the enemies fight harder and the mazes are tougher. The face shaped statues stare at lost secrets. You'll learn the Psycho Slide, find hte two statues of Rama, and eventually face two powerful vampires. The mysterious statues here are giving you a clue in the way they look. By the way what is going on with these monsters they seem to be considerably tougher than those in the Sky Garden. The exact same thing happens in Angkor Wat. Just do your best to defeat all of them. The flasher wizards appear at random and fire shots. The flashing rings are called propulsion rings they can be a hindrance opr a help but for right in the beggining they are a hindrance use your telekinesis to get them out of your way. When you first go in the Room of Hope there isn't much you can do. Come back here later when you have the Statue of Hope. Look for two locations where the stone heads are set at 90 degrees follow thier gaze to where they meet and press the A button. You'll find the first hope statue. Go back to the Room of Hope face the Altar and use the statue expect a visit from Rama and a lowered water level that enables you to explore more. Bounce of the Propulsion ring while running you will bounce off and race all the way up the slope. There are sevral areas here where spikes will pop out of holes. In this case the switch will lower the spikes for a few seconds after hitting the switch run like mad to get past the spikes. In Mu and later areas you'll have to slide through low openings in walls. Only Will can use it however, run up to a low hole then press the attck button to slide. As before press A where the 2 statues gazes meet in this case it is right next to the spikes. Then go and put the statue on the altar the water will lower one level. Look in an area west of the Dark Space where you recieved the Psycho Slider Here you'll find the first Rama Statue in a chest. The second statue can be found in a Cul-de-sac north of the Dark Space. With both statues in hand you can now proceed to the final area. Southeast of the Dark Space, in the lowest level of Mu you'll find a room with two altars. Place your statues here. You will be transported to the Mu burial ground. Go and talk with the big statue up in the front. Talk to all the spirits and Rama will give you a statue. But you still have to fight the vampires in the next room. After you have defated then defuse the bomb either wire being cut will do the trick. After your defeat of the Vampires you end up in a tunnel. Undersea Tunnel: After you defeat the vampires you end up in a tunnel under the ocean made by the people of Mu. Although you have to eat mushrooms to survive there is no real danger here. Seth shows up in a fishy form. Talk and just follow the story line. You'll eventually end up in a village of the ancestors of ancient Muians. Angel Village: Th ancestor of the Muians now live underground where they must hide form the sunlight. Expect Kara to get kidnapped by Ishtar. One of the Natives guards the door to the deep passage where Ishtar the painter works in solitude. You will be warned of the dangers beyond the door but you have to go on. Listen to the advice of one of the natives she says Go with the wind if you look at whcih way the torch flame bends you'll understand. Down the dark street through to where the wind blows to where you can hear the waterfall. Then look for the place where the sound of the waterfall is loud Ishtar's studio is in front. Use the Psycho Slider in the Wind Tunnel when nesscessary. You have to solve four puzzles to free Kara by using the Magic Dust that Ishtar gives you but after you solve the four puzzles. The answer to them are: Color of the jars, changing the chest contents, and wind in Will's hair. After you are done return to the studio talk to the painting of Ishtar. Get the Magic Dust from the chest. And use it on the painting of Kara. Then tell Neil you're ready to go to Watermia. Watermia: It seems that every peaceful town has a hidden side. Watermia isn't an exception. Here the shadow is cast by a deadly gambling game. There is no way you can buy a Kruk the only way to get one is to win the Russian Glass game. Lance will discover his mad dad in Watermia he is staying in the hut right next to yours. Talk to Lance, his dad, then Lance again before leaving. Lance and Lilly vanish after the big party. Maybe True Love is just as unpredictable in real life as it is in Video Games you're job is to get these two crazy kids back together. Check your inventory and you will find a letter From Lance. Read it then head out to the Great Wall of China. Great Wall of China: Follow the trail of shiny stones left by Lance. You'll learn the most useful spell in the game here. And battle the Sand Fanger for the fourth mystic statue. Jump down from the ledge to reach the Dark Space so you can learn the Psycho Spin. Use this near the end to get through all of the huge slopes. Lilly will join you near the end. And once you find Lance after you defeat the Sand Fanger leave the scene and Lilly and Lance will make up. You head back to Watermia. Return to Watermia: This is when the Russian Glass tournament takes place. Get to it by waiting for a raft to appear to thr upper right of the gambling house hop on it and go to the scene. And then talk to the man in the hat. Don't drink out of the rightmost glass its poison. If you don't he will drink it anyway and die and leave you part of his estate HIS FOUR FAVORITE KRUK HORSES! Now go back to Lance's Dad Talk to him. And then go back to Lilly and Lance and the other s and you'll be headin' for Euro. Euro: There is a center of a notorius labor trade is located here in Euro. Incidentally Neil's Parents own a big company called Rolek. To find the connection you'll need the teapot on Mt. Kress. Go to the shrine right next to the mansion that Neil's Parents live in. Pull the fake statue down to reveal a hidden room hear the laborer's horrible tales. Go to Mt. Kress. Mt. Kress: Mt. Kress is built like a maze you can get lost easily here trying to find the way out. You'll win the Aura Barrier for Freedan, but you must navigate this confusing maze. Magic Mushroom Drops mend broken Vines. Will should find three such Mushroom Drops on his way to the Teapot on drop mends one broken vine. To mend it select the Mushroom Drops Face the broken vine and use it it will grow together adding more complexity to the maze. Use the curving ends of the vines to fly to new parts of the maze adding more complexity to the maze. After you get the Teapot it can be a pain to get out take my advice always go right and down to find your way out. Go back to Euro after exiting. Return to Euro: Take the Teapot and pour its contents on Neil's Parents. They will change into demons. Neil realizes how much he will now miss his parents and you will leave him. But he will come back eventually. Now you can head for the Natives Village. Natives Village: When you come here you will be ambushed by the starving inhabitants they make a fire with plans of cooking you for dinner. But noble Hamlet throws himself into the fire. Your mother Shira shows up and tells Will and the others that Hamlets wish was for these people to have food. Go and talk to all the other people in the campsite always answer yes to them you don't understand their culture but a seed has sprouted between you and them. Follow the little boy to the skeleton, eat the food offered, stare back at the man, and talk to Kara and the others before saving in the Dark Space before you go to Ankor Wat. Ankor Wat: This is probably one of the toughest places to defeat the enemies in the entire game. Look for the Black Crystal Glasses in the third outside open area. Check out all the skeletons for tips and aid. You'll hear sad stories about how they were eaten by different people. Wear the Black Crystal Glasses when you meet up with the spirit or the bright light will harm you. There is no enemy to beat here. Just some seriously tough demons to thrash! You'll get a gorgon flower from the spirit to restore those in the Native's Village that are turned to stone. After you meet up with the spirit your headin to the Natives Village again. Return to Natives Village: When you first get back use the Gorgon Flower when facing each of the girls turned to stone. Kara and the others will come in and tell you where Neil is and what he is doing. You also learn that Kara has communicated to the people using sign language and has found out that the buffalo have returned they no longer hunt each other. Say yes to Kara and you will be going to the desert village Dao. Dao: In this desert town you'll recieve a useful gift from your garndparents. You can also play a snake game called Snake Panic to get some jewels. You'll talk up a storm. And stop the labor trade here as well. You are nearing the end now of the game so try everything you can. To get your package go and talk to the man playing a flute on the left side of Dao. You can throw out the letter here it is useless. (Heh, Heh. You're a mean guy aren't you!) Go and talk to the woman in the upper left center of the town she'll give you a piece of paper from the Jackal. Its a warning from him not to go any further. (I wouldn't really care myself about it!) In the diary that you get from Bill and Lola it has a translation of the hieroglyph puzzle in the pyramid it tells you where to put the stones just look at the picture to find out where they go. But a page out of the journal is missing. It seems that the Jackal is onto you! Go exit the Desert Village. And then go to the Pyramid. Pyramid: Most of the pyramid lies deep underground. To reach these places you must transform into Shadow and use the Aura to seep down into the other places to explore. Each of the six doors below the first floor leads to a hieroglyphic tile that is used to open the way to the mummy queen. However expect a visit from the Jackal before you get to the Queen. When he appears go down on the left and then push yourself against the bottom wall. Then play Lola's melody fire will come out of the statues causing the Jackal to burn! (Burn, Burn, Burn, yes you gonna BURN!) What a sad ending for the Jackal! **SNIFF** Put all the tiles in the slots in the way they appear in your fathers journal. After you're done with this. Go out to the entrance of this room a new portal will be formed leading to the mummy queen. But before you go into the portal go down to the dark space! And save your game and refill your energy and change into Freedan. And then go after the Mummy. After you defeat here you'll get a mystic statue! Then you'll go for Dao again! Return to Dao: Go and ask Neil if you can go to the Tower of Babel in his airplane. He will agree that its okay. And you'll be heading off. Tower Of Babel: When you reach the tower. Will will jump out in a parachute towards the Tower Of Babel. Kara will do the same even though she knows she is not supposed to. After you enter the Tower Kara will catch up with you. And follow you. Expect to meet all of your boss enemies here again. Before you can get to them though you will get knocked back by a barrier the Crystal Ring falls out of the flute you had always thought it was a decoration but it was hidden in the flute! Equip the ring and walk through this barrier. Then you will have to face all of your old boss enemies again! Expect Kara to leave you. And then she will rejoin you later in the Tower. Talk to all of the spirits you see here in the tower they make sense of whats going on! Once all of the demons are destroyed you'll come to the end of the Tower! Your father's body will be laying out on the ground. Talk to it its your father. He said his body has decayed but he has lived on like this. He'll take you to the roof of the tower and show you everyone you seen in the journey that has died or left you. Talk to all of the spirits and then talk to Kara she is speechless. Then talk to your father. You will go up and head for the comet. Beat it and watch the LONG ending! When he comes in close whack him with your sword. Like when he blows ice at you. go up next to him and pelt him. Watch out for his feathers they are dangerous. Also hit him when he swoops in. ============================================================================ Land of Mu Bosses (Vampires): The vampires greet you with coordinated attacks. Keep moving and avoid thew combonation attack at all costs. Hide around the intersections deifferent corners and fire Dark Friar shots. The time bomb must be defused but cutting either wire here will do the job. ============================================================================ Pyramid Boss (Mummy Queen): As Freedan attack the Mummy from the upper ledge and jump down when the ghosts expand outward. Continue in a circuit of attacking, jumping, and dodging. Use Dark Friar Shots. When the circle of ghosts spins around look for the one that appears solid and hit it when its solid with your sword it will form into the queen again hit her. When the face on the surface of the comet has spit out the energy ball shoot it while its mouth is open to give it damage. After it takes some damage the face will disappear. And the real enemy will appear. Phase 2-When he shoots the big energy balls from the sides use the Aura to become invincible. Use it right when the balls are about to hit you. The face should open its mouth to take a shot shoot it when its mouth is open for a while but use the Aura to avoid the shot that is coming out of his mouth. In other words shoot its mouth for about 2 seconds then use the Aura. When the bubbles are crowding around shoot them to pop them. Keep shooting at the mouth and avoiding its shot. And avoid the energy balls that come out of sides by using the Aura to become invincible.
