Jojo Mcbean's Creative Project La Cosecha Desierta
This is a classical Guitar piece I wrote. The name of my song is "La Cosecha Desierta." In Spanish this means "The Lonely Harvest", as it is about a farmer who is having a feast to celebrate the end of the harvest season. At this great feast he plans to invite everyone he knows, everyone they know, and everyone they know. It will be the greatest feast these people have ever seen. He prepares the farm for a celebration to accommodate many people. He cleans all his plates, sets the tables, and hurries off to the village to invite everyone. He yells, but the streets are empty. He visits the houses of every person he knows, but no one answers the door. He asks a lonely widow who sits at the steps of one of the homes, "Where did all the people go?" She slowly turns her head and says: "To Diego’s farm to celebrate the reaping, what is wrong, were you sleeping?”
Disappointed that he was not invited, the man walks back to his farm, where he plays this song.
