1. What hardware configuration system is employed for your network? (client server, distributed or main frame type architecture).
2. What is your network configuration? (is it a token ring, star, bus or any combination of both or all of the above).
3. What is the capacity of your system? In terms, of your storage capacity and you microprocessor capacity. And if there is anything else that you may be willing to add.
4. Describe the scalability of your architecture? Scalability meaning how flexible is your hardware and also how easy it is to add more hardware to it with the need to radically modify the original hardware.

 

4B) Can your hardware handle disparate systems? for example can you incorporate like a different system that necessitates adding middleware.

5. Explain the setup and how do the branches abroad (across Canada) still interact with the current network setup ? Do they share information or are they on their own?
6. Describe the application setup is it more of a flat file type transaction system or a database oriented system?
7. How do you handle changes t applications?
8. How do you go about adding new regions?
9. Do you have any potential for intranet? Like e-mail, work groups for each of the regions.
