Julio came on to the music scene in the early '80s playing bass for a local band named Magic. The band played original rock and performed in several Bay Area clubs for a few years. In the late 80's he moved away from original rock and formed the band Johnny Super, a cover band that continues to play corporate events, private parties, receptions, and occasionally at night clubs. In 1999 he joined Ded Ringer and came back to his first true love of playing original rock-n-roll. His influences include bass players John Entwhistle, Stanley Clarke, Geddy Lee, as well as many power trio rock bands.

Julio plays Fender Precision bass, uses RotoSound strings, through a GK amp and Custom speakers.
