Views expressed by the MAIT and NASSCOM presidents at that time were:
"The BharatBhasha project is very significant as it will make computers accessible to the other 855 million Indians who speak vernacular languages." said Mr. Manu Parpia, President of MAIT.
"The BharatBhasha project will enable the infotech culture to percolate down to the grassroots level where there is tremendous interest in computers." said Mr. K Ramani, President of NASSCOM.

1997 - July: Presented the system at a Workshop organized by Digital Computing at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.
