Her mother was an Elf, and her father was Human. Her mother was very knowledge able in skills of the Elves, and very learned in magic. Her father was a ranger and very learned in the skills of that kind. She was an only child, and because of that, her parents doted on her, and both spent considerable time teaching her everything they knew. Ali grew up in a world where days were filled with hunting and tracking, learning and surviving, with spells and songs, poems and legends.
