These are my Precious Kitties that I had when I was growing up. They were just very sweet. When I was around 12 we happened to move around a lot, and yes they were not too happy about it either, but I was very happy to have them. It is funny how they used to act, like they didn't care, but when something was wrong they would always come over to see you. Mind you, they still just sat there waiting for you to pay attention to you making like they didn't care, but it was so funny how they showed that they cared. Plus, if you were ever reading something, and I am sure all of you cat owners have experienced this, but how they come along and sit on what you are reading. Mind you they still didn't pay attention to you, they just seem to sit there and clean themselves. Oh well....at least they did that!
![]() This is Herkinheimer the Fierce. Yes that really was his name...but we called him Herk for short. He was just the most laid back cat that I have ever met. He used to go down to the end of the driveway and greet people as they walked by, plunking himself down on his back and just start purring. We had him ever since he was born, when Willow, his mother, had him. You will meet her later! As I was saying he was extremely laid back. I remember carrying him around like a baby....him on his back with his head resting on my arm. He would basically stay like that for hours if you let him. And he just loved cat nip. The strange thing was that it didn't really affect him. I mean this cat was so relaxed, he just seemed like he was drugged on cat nip all of the time. But when on it he became a little forgetful. Like if he wanted to lay down he would basically forget to lay down softly, he would just fall over. Like if he was standing stiff almost and someone just tipped him over. Then when he hit the ground, he would roll onto his back and lay there for hours. Especially if there was a fire going. He wouldn't move for anything (except dried fish treats of course). He used to just lay there and drool. He really was a baby. He really was a very beautiful cat. He had fairly long hair and his colours, black and white, really were perfectly proportioned. He was just so friendly and so laid back, he was always a pure pleasure to have around. Actually, despite for what I said above, he really did always come to us for attention. He needed a great amount otherwise he would actually get very depressed. He was just a wonderful friend, and despite him being gone for such a long time now, I really miss him a lot! ![]() ![]() Now, this is Willow. She was Herkinheimer's mother. Now this cat thought she was the queen of the world. We found her one day when she was less then a year old. She just showed up at our door and never left. Unknown to us, she also brought three others to our house too...just not right away, she still had to have them. Unfortunately we could not keep them all, but we made sure the other two had really very good homes. But this one we kept...wow what a snot rag! I mean really, could she ever give the dirtiest looks. No one could give them like her. And wow, would she ever be nasty. I mean when she did not get what she wanted, she would stare at you and begin to scratch something, especially this special wallpaper that we had. Could she ever rip into that. It was actually kind of funny to watch. Her, looking at you over her shoulder, scratching away, giving you a filthy look. She was really the queen of her world. But would I have ever traded her? Not in a million years. She could also be the kindest, sweetest cat when she wanted to be. At least until she had enough. But she used to sleep right up close to your face on your chest, purring away with her nose just barely touching your lips. It was very nice to have her there. I miss her so much too....they were just the greatest. Oh yeah....BTW....Willow used to just hate Herkinheimer. He used to torment her awfully. I mean he was just playing and she knew it because she used to do things to him even though she would try to act like she was above such games. But he used to hide around corners, chase, and tackle her. It was just crazy. She would hiss and carry on while he would just look like "heheheheeh...take that." It was just a sight to see. But then later that day sometimes you should see them lounging in the sun together, but if she ever caught you looking at her laying with him, she would get up and snub him like he was a lower life form. I think that is why he would get her, because that is sometimes when he would chase her!
