The alarm-clock apparently rang at 8:30. I didn't notice. Sunni did. I think we had breakfast, I can't be sure; I wasn't entirely conscious. I do have a vague recollection of standing at the buss-stop waiting for a buss and that it was darned hot.
We probably discussed some strange philosophical question during the buss ride, I can't say for sure; I know I didn't sleep and I'm pretty sure we didn't sing.
I was awake when we got off though--in Florø. I even knew why we were there: Our candy-storage had run out.
Oh joy--me on another shopping-trip.
I might not have minded had it not been so darned hot. I am really not font of warm weather; I'd much rather have a nice cold snowstorm, a cosy fire-place, a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows in, a TV and a couple of cool action-movies.
Sunni bought a hat--a camouflage-coloured fishing-hat--and she insisted on wearing it too. It didn't really match her dress, but it looked unique if nothing else. A twelveish-year-old skater passed us wearing an almost identical hat.
I spent a small fortune on candy and tea-bags, before we stuffed ourselves back on the buss and went home. The road between the cabin and Florø is horrible: It swings and sways this way and that. Honestly; it is a haven for road-sickness. We got home though, without any major accidents.
It was still early, and goddamn hot so we went up to the little dam and spent the rest of the day practising underwater swimming. I think I might have been a mermaid in a previous incarnation. I enjoy water; I love swimming, I like splashing and making noise. I love the feeling of water between my toes and in my ears. I the feeling of near weightlessness. There's just nothing cooler.
I've got a rule that says that I must swim outdoors before my birthday (May 14th) every year, I rarely do. Norwegian spring-weather is very unpredictable. It's a good rule though.
I really have to enjoy bathing while I can, because we don't have a bathtub at home anymore; we had one but then we moved. My parents have been talking about getting one, but they decided that a fireplace would be more important. "We don't want to enter the new millennium with only electrical-heating." my father said, he might be right, but I'd still rather have a bath.
