Even in the book 14 (SILK to TEXTILES) of "The Golden Book Encyclopedia"
which
initiated its many highly useful editions in 1941, we can read: Friday,
if it
falls on the 13th of a month, is said to be an unlucky day. Fortunately
we don't
observe the signs of this superstition on The Queens Board. February
13 were
sent 8 messages (1077.html-1081.html, 1085.html and 1086.html). In
comparision
with it: February 20 were sent 4 messages (1153.html-1156.html), February
27
were sent 9 messages (1204.html, 1205.html, 1208.html, 1209.html, 1211.html,
1213.html-1216.html), March 6 were sent 17 messages (1271.html-1287.html).What
is more, personally we may treat this day as a lucky day. Thanks to
her message
Re: NEW YORK CITY HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI LIVING IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Lidia had an opportunity to create a webfile
(http://206.20.177.1/cgi-bin/foxweb.exe/mn1^JHS 189 Daniel Carter Beard)
and to discuss with our neighbor from Burbank (Hi! Eric) the problem of
virtual reality. The year 1998 is one of these few years when two neighbor
monthes contain this would-be unlucky day. Because for the next such a
year we must wait eleven after years we incite alice alexiou, Alyssa, Bob
Schneider, BRONX, DottieW. and Larry B. to send a message also tomorrow
(Lidia from Poland, too, will send another message tomorrow).
