In another book which had belonged to my father-in-law, a resident
of Queens in
years 1963-1964, we can find easily many fragments concerning New York
City in
years 1955-1958, also the fragments concerning just Queens, for instance,
"There
was no sign of the FBI the next morning when I went to La Guardia to
catch my
plane." (Pawel Monat with John Dille. Spy in the U.S. Harper &
Row, Publishers,
New York and Evanston, 1962. Library of Congress catalog card number:
61-10211,
p. 70). Better than fourty years ran out in lifetime of our two societies,
many
great events have taken place in the world history, nearly two completely
new
generations have come into existence, so many people of the world divided
into
the states and their alliances have passed away, before our eyes springs
up the
worldwide information society with extremely different needs. There
is the
surmounted time, there are the surmounted problems. But there aren't
the
surmounted prejudices, are they?
