No More Lies, No More Lies!

Some of you may call the title of this piece as a lyric from Rage Against The Machine. When you read this, imagine the gutteral explosion of angst and air that Zach lets out before the heavy guitar and the "Take it back..." verse.

About four weeks ago the company that I work for made an announcement to staff that there would be a rollout of new PCs occuring for all staff. So four weeks were given, like you do. Give them a chance to come up with the goods, etc. So today I realise that four weeks are up. I decide to do a little ask around. Guess what?! Only 20 new PCs are being put on order.. today... We got about 150 staff to get new PCs too! It aint gonna happen, and further more, I very strongly doubt if there will be an announcement to the staff that the money bags side of the company has screwed up. For some reason, this just makes me angry. As some small Asian kid said once when ask about how Pokemon make him feel, "It makes me want to fight!".

I realise that the PC I have is pretty good, and it suites my requirements quite nicely (its a P233 with 64Mb), but when the company you work for, the company you trust, the company you trust to pay you on time and take you seriously, etc, etc, dangles a carrot in the form of a brand spanking new PIII600 with 128 in front of your nose, you get your hopes up. You have something to look forward to. And when you find out that it aint gonna happen in the time frame you expected, if at all, there's a portion of friction and disatisfaction generated that makes working at this place just a little less pleasurable and makes me a bit more cynical.

If they aint gonna deliver, then why promise, why announce. Take this carrot away. It tires me. Its been there so long, I cant even smell it anymore.

The Beginning of the End

Hi ya hiya hiya folks!

I'm back for another year, and I dont have alot of new material. Big whoop. Like I had alot of material last year.

Anyway, this is something just to start the ball rolling. Birthdays. I think I did a piece of drivel last year on birthdays, so this year shall be no different. Another bit of drivel. Yesterday I turned 26. I was a bit ho-hum about it all, but as they progressed and I got "Happy B'days" from friends, it got better. Getting a "Happy Birthday" can mean alot, esp. when its from close friends.

Anyway, not much of a rant. Come back in about a month and read by twisted bits on "The Chaos Butterfly" and "2nd Life Theory".
