The Collectible Page 3.

11. An unopened Password game from the early 70's.  Probably worth squat but at least it won't get damaged.

12. A game of Pit, complete with instructions but mising a card.  Only date is a 1919 copyright, but it is probably from the 20's.  From Parker Borthers.

13. A Great American Popcorn Machine, from Sunbeam.  Really a nice bar item, in excellent condition with the original insert in the lid, which doubles as a serving dish.  Has been used but not much.  I love the design of it and wish there were still some items like this around.  I bet they would sell, given the retro trend these days.

14. A book entitled, Popular Sports...Their origin and development, by Frank Collins, dated 1935.  Black and white drawings throughout with a typeface that reminds me of the old Ripley's Believe It or Not books.  A couple of minor marks inside but otherwise is great shape.  Wish I was....

15. My old metal lunchbox, the Robin Hood one with its original unbroken vacuum  flask.  It was used every day in Grade one and two and shows the wear it had.  Rust had overtaken most of the inside but the outside is in reasonable condition, considering the use it has had.  It has no handle.

16. A copy of the Standard Dictionary of Facts, dated 1922. Printed by the Frontier Press Company in Buffalo, N.Y.  It has a leather cover and is in excellent condition.  Has a name in it, written in a beautiful script: Eileen Burke, 806 Fifth Avenue, N.W., Moosejaw, Saskatchewan.  Eileen used it, she says, in her first year of high school, 1925-26.  A wonderful touch, it has a pressed cutting of  what looks like heather.  All in all, a really nice and interesting relic.

17. A metal lunchbox with pictures of our two (Canadian) railway companies, CN and CP.  CP handles frieght while CN handles (or rather mishandles) passengers.  I have ridden Amtrak and there is no comparison.  Gimme Amtrack anytime.

That's all for now folks, come back soon.  I have this fishing rod, and a couple of Martin reels and a Sharps rifle....you get the idea.
Take this way home. 1
