Regrets
We are all humans, we all have regrets
Something in our past we want to change or forget
Be it as simple as not paying attention in class
And getting a fail when you need a pass
Or maybe it's more complex, like letting oppurtunity pass by
Why did we do what we did? We may never know why
At the time it seemed good, it just seemed right
But now it occupies our thoughts, during the day, during the night
We'd love to go back and right what is wrong
However we will have to live with our mistake for so long
Because as we learn in our youth
Our life is governed by this one truth:
We can't change the past
Time has continued, the moment has passed.
What's done is done......and to that we hold fast.
