This is a small tutorial Made by Ryan Knope on how to make a quick and very easy shot glass.
There are multiple ways to do it, such as lofting, revolving, and subtracting solids. The road
we will take today will be modeling with solids. You may also use either the buttons or use the commands in which I specify in perenthisis. If there are any questions or comments please
E-Mail us...also if you would like a tutorial on a specific thing also E-Mail us! By the
way...this tutorial was made for the EXTREME BEGINNER!
Step 1

Go to the Solids menu and make a Truncated cone (Command: TCONE)standing upright, as the one above.
Step 2

Next we will make a second truncted cone of exactly the same size and measurements by
using the "Copy" command. We will then place the second just a little bit above the first,
while still having them intersect each other, but before doing so you will need to make the
second truncated cone a little bit smaller using either the "Scale" command or the "stretch"
command. Once both are placed in the right places you can subtract the solids by going to
" Solids>Subtract." Select the lower solid first, then the higher last. This will give you a
hollowed out Shot Glass.
Step 3

Next you can texturize the objects, add transparency for the liquer (if you added any), you
can do this by going to the color wheel and then you can render. To make this look even more
realistic you can also use fillet on the edges of the shotglass...but more about fillets
later. Any Questions or Comments? E-Mail Us!
